Thanks for sending me this great country album, I shall be playing lots of tracks over the comming weeks, K.C. has the voice, style and material that appeals to the UK country music fans I know that he is getting airplay on other stations,"Without a Doubt" is pure country and if any singers in Nashville want to know what a "country" album should sound like they should listen to KC his music stands head and shoulders above lots of the mediocre stuff calling it's self country.

K. C. Williams, "So Far," 4 sides, "The only thing to wish for is a lot more of it." 4 1/2 stars

"Since the 'New Country' movement began some dozen years ago an artist pattern has emerged. The most successful are young guys clean cut hat wearing--and white! Not since Charley Pride has an African American been chart successful but thankfully things are about to change. KC Williams is a new 'hat' and he's also black, though, like Pride, you wouldn't know it from his voice. His voice has the quality, his performance the strength and his songs the immediacy to put this guy right at the top of the 'Billboard'. KC is already a hit on stage, supporting such stars as Tim McGraw who lent his eight-piece band to help Williams record 'So Far'. The four songs, 'So Far', 'Turn For The Worse', A Long Hard Look At Forever' and Basic Love' are absolutely first rate."

K.C. and his recording of "Basic Love" took top honors over all genres of music presented.
The Chicago Regional Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences presented the award.
